let's chat — Rebecca Porter LCPC, HHC

Finding a counselor that meets your specific needs is key to effective therapy.

It will be helpful to have a sense of what a counseling session with me will be like. During our first few appointments it is beneficial to discuss what brings you to therapy, what is important to you, and who are the important people in your life. During this time I will do my best to help you feel comfortable and safe as you bravely share this personal information with someone new.

We will then start to develop some goals and discuss the ways that I can assist you in this process so that you can get the most from our time together. Our sessions will be interactive conversations, where I will encourage you to self-reflect, and use your inner wisdom to arrive at your own best choices, conclusions and insights.

I invite you to connect with me by phone or email and together we can determine if Wholestyle Health is right for you.

Rates:  Individual psychotherapy $100/50 min session.

Payment: Cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Paypal.

Insurance Accepted: Currently I am not billing insurance at this time.

Please call the member services of your insurance carrier to see if your benefits include out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental health where I can provide you a receipt for services and then you submit to your carrier for your own reimbursement. The following information is important to consider before you make the decision to involve your insurance carrier for reimbursement for your counseling:
Confidentiality: Insurance carriers require some information regarding your reason for treatment before processing your claim. Managed care companies require detailed information about the reason you are seeking treatment, your symptoms, history, family and work life.
Mental Health Diagnosis: Health Insurance is designed to pay for the treatment of illness. Therefore a mental health diagnosis must be provided to the insurance carrier before most companies will pay for your counseling.
Control of Care: Managed care companies use your personal health information to decide if mental health treatment is medically necessary, what types of therapy is approved and how long treatment should continue. The people making these decisions about your treatment often have limited training.
